Perhaps the biggest prospect in baseball, Jason Heyward of the Atlanta Braves tops the roster for the Peoria Saguaros at the 2009 Arizona Fall League. Also expected to draw attention will be Heyward's Double-A teammate Freddie Freeman, Cincinnati star first baseman talent Yonder Alonso, Cleveland outfielder Nick Weglarz, Houston catcher Jason Castro and Cincinnati pitcher Mike Leake.

Pitchers

Cincinnati fans will be spending special attention to Peoria Saguaros's pitching staff as number eight draft pick Mike Leake out of Arizona State will make his professional debut. Compensation first round pick Bradley Boxberger out of USC - number 43 overall - will also start his professional career for the Reds. Cincinnati also sent two hurlers from Triple-A Louisville - Logan Ondrusek and Sean Watson - to hopefully push for a spot on the 2010 big league roster.

Infielders

One of Cincinnati's biggest hitting prospects in the minors is first baseman Yonder Alonso, who finished his first season at Double-A Carolina. A strong Arizona Fall League and spring training could see Alonso starting at first base next season. Freddie Freeman also hopes to be starting at first base in the majors soon after a strong season for Atlanta's Double-A Mississippi affiliate.

Outfielders

Atlanta outfielder Jason Heyward is considered the top minor league prospect heading into the 2009 off-season after raking Double-A pitching to the tone of .352 with 7 home runs and a .446 OBP in 47 games. Nick Weglarz is not nearly the level of talent as Heyward but could soon make Cleveland's outfield.
